Thom Browne at Bon Marché Rive Gauche

Paris, Bon Marché Rive Gauche

Thom Brown, New York fashion designer renowned for his unique silhouettes and theatrical collections, is taking over Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, an iconic Parisian department, with a site-specific art installation and pop-up store. The store will be selling the star items of his autumn winter 2015 collection together with his hand-made tailored suits, which have never before been available outside of his Hudson Street store.

The art installation is quite impressive and it surely provides a beautiful enhancement to the pop up store. It features mirrored walls, office space designs from the 50s - a period from which Thom Brown draws a lot of inspiration - and the designer's signature wingtip shoes crawling across the clinical white floor. What is really visually captivating is the fact that the furniture and the shoes are completely silver plated, contributing to creating a very surreal atmosphere.

For the event, Thom Browne has also created a selection of items exclusively for Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche including knit wool whale motif pullovers, coin purse and laptop holders.
