1981 Spring Summer 2016

For Spring Summer 2016, 1981 went back to re-examining its philosophy by revisiting the brand’s Ghanaian/ African heritage. Focus and emphasis was placed on the traditional Ghanaian style, which was re-interpreted to create something new in combination with a modern aesthetic. Traditional garments and traditional way of wearing clothes prior to the arrival of the Europeans to the African continent were examined and reimagined in a contemporary context. Read more.

David Sims for Supreme

Supreme have worked with photographer David Sims on an exclusive project documenting their team riders Tyshawn Jones, Sage Elsesser, Sean Pablo and Aidan Mackey, and will be releasing this as a hardcover book.  Shot in New York, the images take in a range of set-ups, both on location and in the studio, steering away from typical skate photography to offer a unique take on American youth.
